Hi, Is the 1199 seat thinner than the 959 seat? Will fitting an 1199 seat on the 959 result in my feet being a little more planted on the ground? Cheers.
This does look like the right way to go, WTD ad placed.. It also appears that they added more padding later in production.
i have 1199 seats. 899/1299 are slightly taller, but mainly thicker on the sides. There are suede like, as opposed to the vinyl/leatherette of the standard 1199. I charge £95 delivered. There isnt much difference in your actual arse height though. You may be better adjusting ride height by 10mm on rear, and getting 20mm of sag with the use of a spring (if you are a light weight) and backing off the preload and rebound damping.
I swapped the 959 seat for an 1199 one for a bit more floor contact. Still not enough for my 5'1" self, so fitted a Sato racing link and dropped it further. Also check how your suspension is set up, as adjusting it may help too.
