Can anyone tell me how many clicks of adjustment there are for both compression and rebound on the ohlins rear shock fitted to an 1199s? Ive just bought one which has been converted to manual adjustment which has a range of 26 clicks for both comp and rebound and Im just wondering if this range mirrors the range in the original electronic version. Try to establish a base setting to start with Thanks for any help offered.
Hello Duke fancy meeting you here Do you know the range by any chance? For example is compression a total range from fully in (hard) to fully out (soft) 26 turns/clicks and the stock setting is 18 out ?
Rear shock absorber factory settings: rebound: 10 clicks; compression: 10 clicks; spring preload: 23 mm. It seems the DES screen shows 31 clicks on the electronic suspension for each of front and rear compression and rebound. I guess adding manual adjusters changes that somewhat.
Cheers Duke great info. I found this data for the same weight rider as me on setup by JHP Rear - Original DES Compression: 18 DES Rebound: 12 Preload (mm): 14 Spring Rate (lbs): 9 Ride Height: 224 Sag (mm): 8 Rear - New DES Compression: 16 DES Rebound: 13 Preload (mm): 13 Spring Rate (lbs): 8 Ride Height: 217 Sag (mm): 20
