Hi all. My 1199s has what feels like a very loose foot gear lever. Goes into 1st and 2nd but not above. Sometimes slips into neutral. When trying to go into 3rd it just says no but I cool pop from the exhaust. Oils are good and gear levers bled properly. Check the gear lever hasn’t worked loose on the output shaft and that all connections in the external linkage are fastened correctly and haven’t worked loose. Failing which you’ll have to drain the oil and remove the crankcase cover to check the selector mechanism underneath
I would imagine it will be a broken main spring on the selector pawl, but you won't know until you take it apart. This part is a direct replacement: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265789919760
