I've had a great set up with the small 3l Givi Tanklock Fuel Tank Bag (XS319Y) but managed to lose it the other day while filling up... Great move. Now in the market for another, and wanted a larger one, but my screen set up (sat nav centrally on the bars and a 2nd CarPlay screen on the left bar) means I have limited space up top and Tank Lock bags just don't fit.

I'm interested to know what others have, if not the Tank Lock options. I travel a lot and it's a great help to have a tank bag, but think I'm gonna need a magnetic one or something strapped down. Ideas very welcome!

  2. Do you travel solo or 2-up ? There are several solutions that attach a “tank bag” style bag to the pillion seat. My girlfriend used a Ducati supplied solution on her Diavel to good effect and I’m pretty sure Givi has a tank lock solution for the pillion seat. Andy

  3. Plastic tank, so a magnetic one will not work.
Have you looked at moving the sat Nav up above the clocks with a mount, makes it easier to see and stops the tank bag blocking your view of it if you use a bigger bag?

  4. I converted one of the small GIVI magnetic bags to use a locking ring.
It works really well for me.

I'll dig out a link to my MS enduro thread later to demonstrate.

  5. Used to use a Givi 604 tank-bag which is no longer in production. Now replaced with a Givi 605 tanklocked bag (never use the lock, don't see the point TBH). I also bought a Givi 612 tank-bag for a 2 week two-up trip across France to Corsica. The extra space and expandability were useful as obvs we packed for both GF and myself. Since buying my 1260S in 2018, and still currently do, I use a high level GPS mount (initially Ducati Performance and now EvoTech). This works well with all these bags and keep the GPS in, IMHO, a better position not too far off one's line of sight whilst riding.
