Hi all, I bought one of the lazer crows foot spanners that was totally useless, and wasn't prepared to actually use it for fear of rounding off the head nuts. It is nowhere near a decent fit imo. I used a normal ring spanner to undo them, but ideally need a tool to torque the head nuts on the rebuild. Can anyone recommend or suggest where to buy a better tool ? If not, I will weld a socket to my spanner, but was hoping for a proper tool Cheers all, John. P.'s. This is for a multi 1200.
You can buy pretty much that https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6PC-FLEX...70.l1311.R1.TR11.TRC2.A0.H0.Xsocket+span.TRS0
These work OK, as long as you keep the torque wrench at 90 degrees to the tool; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-C...R1.TRC0.A0.H0.Xducati+cylinder+head+tool.TRS0 This type is better but more costly; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JMP-Moto...R1.TRC0.A0.H0.Xducati+cylinder+head+tool.TRS0
I have these and was fine on the 1000ds ... could you have the 15mm not the 14? I see you’re in Surrey - I’m in Walton if you want to borrow/ try https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CROW-FOO...-88713-2096-/162527156515?hash=item25d75f9923
