Phew just about made it home slowly losing clutch........ Any recommendations for an aftermarket item? or stick with original? Cheers
Cheap fix that's worked for me on 2 bikes: Drain, remove and clean the bore with superfine wet and dry. Then fit a quad (X) ring seal from Protwins (£8).
Same happened to me a couple of years ago! Proper Brembo rebuild kits available for these models from Modo Rapido and others on eBay for about £25 and sorted mine. Do check exactly where the fluid loss or air ingress is coming from though, it could just as easily be the clutch slave seal gone.
Thanks chaps, am off to Wales for a weeks holiday, will strip everything down when I get back. Ironically just before this issue I thought to myself this is the best the bike has been running during my 5 years of ownership......so it goes......
