  1. For a reasonable well looked after UK example with a few age related marks circa 15K miles.
    What's it worth?

  2. Less than the current owner wants and more than you really want to pay. That is always the way. An early, original 916 is becoming very sought after and as such has become very difficult to find. I know of one that is so early Ducati made an offer for it. Andy

  3. It's chassis is just over 1000 so late in 1994 I think - have a stab at the value then :)

  4. ask your close personal friends at Ducati?

  5. JHP had one last year, think it had done 1500 miles. It was going through their workshop when i saw it. Obviously it was like new. Rumoured to be sold for £10k but it was a one off....Think Moto Rapido have got one similar but not for sale !

  6. There was one a couple of weeks ago in Cobb & Jagger's. Can't remember how much they were asking... It was mint & expensive. Is that the one?
Can you fit another into your house anyway? :)

  7. This one is good value I think but was after a guide - no one has an opinion yet :(

  8. i have several opinions but none relating to the value of a 916.. a 748 though, thats another story

  9. I'm guessing that the bike is for your collection and not to ride so if you can get it for less than £6k you will have got a potential bargain. I do not believe a standard 916 bp will ever make big money but I'm with you, at the right price I'd find the room. Andy

  10. Id value a standard mint bike with good s/h @ around 8/8.5k expect it to be worth 10k plus in a couple of years!

  11. I'm nearer £5.5K now I think but just checking out the frame number and engine number match with Ducati's records. The fairings are later unfortunately and a bit patched up though - probably off a 97 bike looking at the stamps.

  12. .
Time to walk away. Early it may be, original it would appear not. As someone who is in to the detail you will regret it. Andy

  13. Yes, it would be difficult to find early panels I think.

  14. I sold a set a few months ago for £800 (just the 4 sides)

  15. Couldn't agree more..its value is base on it's provenance, previously binned I can only presume!!

  16. 4.5/5k if it reads true with there database..leaves cash to hunt for genuine panels/buy new ones!? Should still have, ally rear sub, p8 ecu, wheels embossed with "Racing" clipons with one retaining bolt, Cagiva elephant embossed fuel cap etc etc

  17. Thread revival

one of these for sale local to me and I’m tempted to get it. I’m just not sure if it’s fully original as claimed and what it’s worth. It needs work but that doesn’t frighten me. Does 6k seem fair?
