2 X 907ie

Discussion in 'Ducati Paso' started by Pete1950, Feb 1, 2018.

  1. I have just agreed to buy two 1992 Paso 907ie's, both in red. Not quite in running order, all there but need re-commissioning. So I am entrusting them to Ray Petty Mechanica of Greenwich to do the work and get them sorted out. When they are done, I shall have to decide whether to sell one and keep one or sell both. Anyone hankering after a 26 year old plastic box with a Ducati inside?

  2. Tempting!

I have enough old, demanding objects requiring more time than I can give them, though.

  3. There is plenty of information and advice available for the 907ie and other Paso models on http://ducatipaso.org/
I have a pretty well sorted 907 that I use regularly, if there is anything you need to know Pete, just ask.

  4. Many thanks @Derek . The 907ie's are now registered in my name, and safely delivered to Ray Petty this morning. I wait to find out the verdicts once he has had time to look at them.

  5. That bike looks not bad but it looks like you'll be needing a LH mirror. They could be got from Moto-Science in the US but they appear to have sold their current stock and may get another batch made if there is enough interest.
If you get absolutely stuck I have a LH mirror that has been damaged but could be repaired.

  6. Ducati John had one in his garage last time I went for a service. I must admit, I quite like them.

  7. Thanks. These two 907s actually need quite a list of parts, but then again they come with a large box full of bits. Probably enough to make up one bike complete, but then the second bike will need sourcing the missing parts which may or may not be cost-effective bearing in mind that Pasos do not command high prices; at least not yet.

  8. Just to update this thread, I actually sold this entire lot of 907 stuff to @Duncs . Duncs got Ray Petty Meccanica to recommission the better of the two bikes, which looks pretty good although it still has a few issues. Also I helped him convey the other (non-running) one to his home where he can undertake the project of restoring it at his leisure. So I am not going to be riding a Paso after all.

  13. Bits come up on eBay, usually way overpriced. If you want advice and possible help in finding parts get yourself onto http://ducatipaso.org/
