Hi experts.... I am trying to track down carbon belt covers for 2005 999s. The few places advertising are for the older 999 model. I understand the 999 post 2005 was the deep sump engine from the previous 999r. Is that right? Although not much help as sourcing those is even rarer..... surely this engine isn't unique to the 999, it has been used on other Ducati models before 1098 etc came along? if so anyone know? I can then search out belt covers for those bikes thanks Paul
The Post 2005 Deep sump is closely related to the previous S version minus titanium con rods. Monster S4RS used a 999 engine, as for 2005 onward covers (RACE VERSION) DUCATI 749 998 999 CARBON FIBER FIBRE CAM BELT ENGINE COVER PANEL | eBay PS.. they wont make your bike any faster or handle better
the one above ie the later cover has the vent at the front to help cool the belts.......goes with the slotted v piece.......the earlier ones tended not to have this venting!
