Hi all, just got my 2010 multi. I was hoping to wire in my givi top box which has brake and indicators. Into the bikes wiring. My first cambuss bike. Looking for advice if anyone can help. Not sure if the brakes and indicators are managed by the canbuss on the 2010 model. Before I screw up the system any pointers. All advise welcome. Thanks
The rear indicators, brake light, and front & rear position lights are all driven from the BBS unit which communicates with the dash via the canbus. The front indicators are driven directly from the dash. The brake and parking lights are LED but the standard rear indicators use bulbs although they can be replaced with LEDs without resistors with no issues. I don't know what the Givi topbox has but as long as the loads are about the same I doubt if you would have a problem. So if the Givi lights and indicators are LED it will probably be fine. I'd be more doubtful about bulbs. The relevant wires are; Tail light : Yellow Brake Light : Grey/red RH indicator : White/green LH indicator : White /black Earth : Black
