2010 Multistrada Instrument Panel

  1. Is there a known fault with the instrument cluster for the Multistrada 1200 Adventure.
The engine management light glows dimly and seems to have a back feed when the bike is actually healthy.
What are the options on this if anyone has encountered it before.

  2. Probably moisture in the housing, A common fault with this bike!

  3. Yes it's a well known problem, it's an earth fault on the PCB, normal remedy is that the clocks are changed, but you loose your mileage and service interval reminders being at the correct place.

Mark at Scorpio electronics is aware of he problem and ,may be able to repair when I spoke to him, but mine is only faint so wold rather keep mileage correct or now.

  4. Had mine changed today under warranty, should be in sink with services as tis only a few hundred over 15k.

  5. There has also been a few cases of the internal lamp housings slipping allowing light to bleed thru from one of the other indicators. For instance, when in neutral the light can bleed thru and cause the EOBD light to glow.
As mentioned, clock replacement is a solution but mileage and service memory is lost.
