Hi! Had my 2011 Multi a few months now and so far it's been a great bike. One thing I have noticed is the fuel gauge has been a bit hit and miss from the day I picked it up. Brimmed the tank today from almost empty and the fuel gauge was all over the place. No consistent reading and no info regarding miles to go etc on the dash display. Couple of miles further down the road and the engine management light comes on along with the fuel warning light flashing. Info display read "Errors - fuel sensor". Halfway to work and it drops out of fault mode but once again the fuel gauge is all over the place. Return from work later on and exactly the same happened. Anybody on here had issues with their fuel sensor? Is it an easy fix or will it need major surgery? Thanks!! ChrisBirb.
Sounds like a faulty fuel gauge sensor Located in the base of the fuel tank, although getting tank off can be a bit of a faff to remove Im not sure if it then needs coding to the dash after fitment..? Might be best to let your dealer check it out...
