There is an article in 1200 mts info, re a modification to have the dipped beam stay on when main beam is switched on. It’s a bit vague in its description, an example being, “NB: There is an electronics component soldered between the yellow/white wire and the red wire without which dip/lo and main/hi beams will remain on together all the time regardless of the hi/lo beam selector switch position!” What electronic component? That is the only reference there is. Lastly, has anyone tried having the dip lights stay on with main beam?
The device is a diode. Something like a 1N4001 or 1N4002 would be suitable. For the 2010-2012 models it should be connected between the yellow/grey wire of the high beam relay and the yellow/white of the low beam relay with the white band of the diode to the yellow/white wire.
