A mate was kind enough to let me have a go on his 2015 1199R this morning as he has it for sale due to moving house and not having anywhere to keep it. I've got my eye on one at some point but not really in a position to do it yet but couldn't resist trying it all the same. It was absolutely immense and quite different to my 2014 model 1199s. It has all the power of my new BMW s1000rr but it also had a shed load of extra torque right across the rev range. Like 5th gear power wheelie extra torque! It has the £2600 race cans on it so I'm not sure just how different that is to the standard model? They remove the cats and so on so probably quite noticeable I would have thought?? The bike also turns a lot better than my Panigale, it's much more like the BMW and other smaller feeling wheelbase bikes that I've tried lately. Kind of like the 1199s when it's compressed after braking hard. Anyhow it's for sale if anyone is up for one, obviously not cheap at £24.5k but it owes him £32k with the race pipes etc so it's a hefty saving. It's absolutely immaculate and he's a returned biker after ten years away so never tracked or thrashed (apart from me clearing it's pipes this morning ) 2015 Ducati 1199 PANIGALE R 1198cc Super Sports in Havant | Auto Trader Bikes
