Hi guys I've recently encountered a CEL error. I've sent it once to the dealer but they have not yet been able to solve the problem. The diagnostic tool read it as an electrical error and they blamed it on a USB plugin charge I was using as it was 3.3 amps and they claimed it was higher than standard. Anyhow I took a short video of it. It usually happens like this. Power on the bike. Bike unable to start. Gear Indicator shows a dash and the word touring and the DTC words and the Neutral light are blinking. Even with gear in neutral and the clutch depressed the bike cannot start. Only when I put up the side stand can the bike start. This flashing carries on for a while when I move off and after some minutes the gear indicator starts displaying a number, the traction control light stops blinking and Neutral stops flashing. However, at this time cruise control cannot be deployed. The CEL remains on constantly. After I park and turn the bike off the next start is similar. Am wondering if its the side stand switch?
