On my MTS1200 maximum power is developed at 9370RPM (150.59BHP corrected DIN700200 etc etc etc) Max torque was just over 90ft/lb at 8000RPM. Since Torque takes a dive after 8000 and the power drops by 5BHP at 10,000 there is still plenty to go at 9000RPM Assuming yours is the same I'd say it still had some left. Note the rev limiter kicks in at 10,250 and cuts the power. Everything measured at the tyre ...not the crank. Met a guy in the pub last night who's 1000 Suzuki puts out 186BHP at the back wheel due to the factory paint job

Having out the link pipe back on, the difference is very noticeable in lack of grunt. Mines all std so be lucky to be topping 135 And I have some mechanical sympathy so didnt rev much above 8500 in any gear, didnt hit the limiter once either
I must admit the first time I hit the rev limiter my heart sank....but then it came back to life....I'm a big lover of electronically limited revs
I think you're the first person I've heard of putting the cat back in (Link pipe?). Can you not find a tail pipe/end can you're happy with?
In 1985, my Z1 Turbo in it's first incarnation - 1197cc - 12 miles to Sherburne in Elmet from home, had to fill up to get back - circa 8mpg - you F'kin puff
Aircon, it was just way too loud and the point of this bike was buy it, spend bare minimum on anything bar fuel, chop it later. Only bought coz it was cheap and i can sell on for the same money. The guy gave me a mivv can too which allegedly came of a multi but it no way fits this bike. Shame as it really does release a bit and didnt have any fuelling issues at all And I'd say half the MPG of normal isnt a bad effort given its a track not the TT
Brill!![/QUOTE] Some manufacturers are quite inconsiderate limiting bikes, mine is limited to 186mph bummer
And I ended up with the Alstare scheme.....arses! On topic, I haven't really looked at what mine says, should do really. Light came on after 2.5 sessions, definitely didn't love it though :'(
I only know because light came on at lunch, so 3 sessions, and took 13 litres and still wasn't full...and 66 was clocked since i filled up near the circuit. Normally get 130 miles to the same point...
@satzoomer what did you buy again? Wife seems to like coming out and ai think the multi will have to go for something more suitable for us both
Got a ZZR1400 straight swap for a new one at seastar superbikes I've had it 6 weeks and done 2000 miles, not trying to hijack the Multi section, and did enjoy the it, bit this thing is just so comfy, ooooober fast, and will pull in 4th gear at 30mph without the jiggering, been to Belgium with the mrs she loves it, got it all pannier'd up too,
