I have a wide case 250 that was used with a total loss system for racing.I want to put it on the road and run it with full electrics but the parts and wiring i have (in a box)do not match any wiring diagrames i have, as it was converted to a 12volt lucas system at some time.Does anyone have a correct wiring diagrame or advice please.cheers
Elextrex do a complete 12V system for the wide case engines with stator, rotor and regulator. It might save you a lot of hassle. The also do another with a self-generating electronic ignition, replacing the Ducati Elettronica set up on the last singles.
thanks for that.If possible I want to use the lucas kit i already have,it is just a wiring diagrame I need, as it is just a jumble of wires and components in a box right now.cheers hayden
Sorry, I misunderstood what you were looking for. There is a wiring diagram on Bevelheaven but it's not great and the legend is in French. I have one for a 250 Monza which might be some help but it's not complete.
thanks again. That takes me 1 step closer.I already have the 250 monza but only the standard as in the workshop manual.
I have 2 other diagrams that may help. One is for a 239/250D where the Ducati self-generating ignition has been replaced with the Electrex set up. The wiring is more or less standard apart from the ignition. The other is for a 450 RT but more generic than original. If you think they may be of any use PM me your email and I'll send you copies.
