found this image online yet unable to find much of anything else about it. looks like a late 80's ss with a 4 valve w/c lump, maybe 851? or other. Grateful if anyone here can illuminate further. ta.
The thing with building something like this is that the rear head is too wide to fit in a SS frame, so the frame needs to widened or specially built. When you do this you end up with basically a 851/888 frame. So it would be easier to just use a 851/888 frame. Steve R

After all that work they go and tighten the tensioners CW, it seems. Wonder if it still lives, or met with a hideous belt-shredding end?
Christ a 996RS motor in a frame originally designed to deal with well under 100 rwbhp??? It would tie the frame in knots and probably in the 1st set of fast corners would find it and the rider heading for the Emergency Dept'. The later/stronger/better handling 851/888 frames found their limit around 140 rwbhp. Steve R
