Hi

When riding down a very narrow Mtn pass with a -8 degree grade I get a clunk from the rear when I go to idle power. This is on my 2022 StreetFighter V4s with 2,700 miles.

My Panigale with only 22 miles does not do this. It's much smoother.
Can a loose chain be the cause of this or more likely worn the rubber dampeners on the rear sprocket?

It does sound, as you suspect, like chain lash.
