Hi Bike: 748s 2002 Clutch: STM FDU-S032 -- STM DRY SLIPPER CLUTCH ORIGINAL 6 SPRING WITH Z48 BASKET AND PLATE DUCATI 748S/SP/R/BIPOSTO https://www.omniaracing.net/en/stm-...-and-plate-ducati-748ssprbiposto-p-27296.html Instructions: http://www.stm.to.it/istruzioni/FDU-S030_ING -.pdf The OE basket is 12 Tooth , do you need a locking tool for the 48 tooth Basket? STM tool is about 200gbp , expensive for one time use Maybe this will suffice? or is it needed https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-clutch-Tool/120799341640?_trkparms=aid=222007&algo=SIM.MBE&ao=2&asc=52945&meid=4ea989a3ce344e2a9c963eaf56cbd611&pid=100005&rk=2&rkt=2&sd=122019625565&itm=120799341640&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 thanks
That’s the same slipper I have on mine. I used the Oberón tool and think it cost about £80. Can’t comment on the other in the link. Ian
Ian , JHP siad for this we use original Ducati clutch holding tool. I would presume the spacing on 48 teeth versus 12 , would not accommodate the OE tool Maybe there is a 48 tooth Ducati tool
https://www.sparkswarehouse.com/pro...MInKH294i43AIVQrTtCh1YKgMGEAQYASABEgKedPD_BwE I use these. Plus it comes in handy for other odds and sods. EDIT: Worked fine on my 48t STM outer DOUBLE EDIT: STOP PRESS, just remembered I used them for inner. I used one of these for my outer https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUCATI-DRY-CLUTCH-TOOL-WORKS-WITH-OEM-AND-T48-BASKET-STM/272603770687?epid=1461237824&hash=item3f78736f3f:g:tjQAAOxygo9Q6lCd&_sacat=0&_nkw=ducati+clutch+holding+tool+48t&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=m570.l1313
Alternatively 2 old plates, bolted together with a makeshift handle can make one of these... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-48-teeth-Sigma-clutch-Holding-Tool-Kit/122019633720?epid=878334160&hash=item1c68efda38:g:5mkAAOSwMNxXZXR5&_sacat=0&_nkw=ducati+clutch+holding+tool+48t&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=m570.l1313
