Hi all. A long shot but you never know! My new to me 1200s has a very Noisey 4th gear. Found the front sprocket was hand tight and worn so changed out and as you’d suspect the noise is still there. Sounds a bit like chain slap but isn’t and doesn’t do it in any other gears, selects fine. No shaving or bits of gear on sump plug. Just thought I’d ask if anyone has had similar? It’s very left side if that makes sense but i suspect the motor will have to come out!
