Start ocation M40 Jct 2, head South towards Slough, immediately take service road into large services (McDonalds). Motorway Service Area (M40 J2), Windsor Road - A355, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire HP9 2SE Plenty of parking and Police. The BBC website is currently showing this Sunday as "Sunny with showers later 9°C". 4th meeting of the MOACA (London West)? 10:30 coffee (please Fuel before 11am) to leave at 11am straight to our first way point. What is MOACA and why do you lot meet on Sunday when there is, and been for years, second Saturday of each month box hill meet?
Hi Lucazade, MOACA = motorcyclists of a certain age ( was men of a ) It's a group of riders from the bucks, Oxon and West northwest London that originally started ln multistrada forum. Reason for another meet was there was a desire to meet up more regularly and/or when the weather matched the date for a meet. Further box hill is a motorway trip for riders from that area and thats not to everyone's taste. The same reason why those same riders may choose not to attend the Ace cafe. For me personally I may attend both.
but do MOACO get offered free Lemon drizzle/Banana cake apple/mince pies and non alcoholic beer at coffee stops?
IMHO the burgers are still not good, compared to say, Newlands Corner. Tea / Coffee in plastic is always bad. Further the Coffee at the services where we meet is great! Food there is also better than both previously mentioned locations...anyway we quickly move off from there.
Newlands Corner is a mile and a half away for me so get to compare frequently but I suppose coming from London you can probably judge far better ACT and besides, my tastebuds are shot now. (tongue most firmly in cheek)
