I have recently got my 2022 Multistrada V2 S, loving it, but appear to perhaps either not be understanding the nature of this bike or need to visit a dealer under the used warranty. It tends to often idle at what I think is quite high (around 1500/1800), even when hot, and on a motorway 9that is, travelling at national speed limit, it will hover at around 60/65 degrees C, again even when at operating temperature. (I hope that's clear). Ambia temperature around 18/22 degrees C. This suggests to me that there may well be a thermostat issue perhaps stuck open or even some kind of temperature sensor irregularity. I have taken it back to the original Ducati dealer I bought it from, and the service manager told me, 'this is what they do, they are built in Bologna which is hotter than England', which sounded like 'flannel' to me, but there you are. interested to hear other's experiences. Perfectly normal. Don't worry about it. My 1200 and 1260S are the same (temperature wise). Idling is at about 1000 RPM.
