748/916/996 Brake lines fitment query?

  1. Hi All,
After managing to break a caliper banjo during a test run, I bought some 2nd hand Ducati OE stainless front brake lines (y type) off Evilbay.
On closer inspection, the MS & one caliper has banjo holes but smaller diameter and the second caliper has a nipple/bolt end.

My OE 97 Bip with 40mm Brembos have 90 degree banjos on both calipers and MS so obviously does not fit.
Does anyone know if the 65mm calipers are a different fit?

    Seller has not responded!

    Cheers

  2. I think all the banjo on our bikes are M10x1.0, whereas the japanese are M10x1.25 bolt fitment.

I've got some banjo's which I haven't used so you're welcome to have a rummage.

  3. My calipers that I aquired off a 996R, the banjo bolt hole is in the side of the caliper with the bleed nipple on the top.

  4. Hmmm, it all sounds odd, lining the hoses up with my 'broken' ones, they are too short (bout 2"), ffs - I reckon they are off something 'similar'.
The smaller banjos are closer to an M8 fit so too small for my M10 calipers.....arse biscuits..

Well for the mo, I have a temp set fitted, not perfect but they work....I need OE ones as I run a pressure switch and a double banjo catches the clocks on full set....
Off to the hydraulic shop in the morning as the build lines there and then....
