Looking to get a new set of pads for the front , at the moment I've got galfer but now they are making a loud noise like a truck trying to stop but only when cold for the first few minutes so anyone got any ideas , I'm looking at going back to the SBS or Brembo
I fitted EBC HH pads to my 996 and im pretty impressed with them. Not experienced mine making any noises, might be that they need some copper grease on the back of the pads or some anti squeel shims.
I'll try the copper grease but it's only making the noise for the first few minutes till they warm up , they even make the noise when just wheeling the bike out from the garage and applying the front brake and it's loud . I've even taken the calipors apart and cleaned them but still the same
I'm not a big fan of EBC pads, i never thought they were very consistent and can be hard on the discs. Brembo if you are feeling flush, SBS if you want better value.
