What size allen key is needed for the bolts that hold the lower and upper fairing together? Small little b*****ds they are. The keys I have are either too big or too damn small. Or any other method of removing them as they're gonna be replaced anyway.
I think they are originally small torq heads not Allen heads but yeah they are bloody small and round off easily. I think my 748 had a suitable torq key in the tool roll actually do that's worth checking
Got the feeling they were torq heads, my eye sight Isn't as good as it used to be!!!! Me being me who has zero patience has decided to drill them out and will replace with shiny new ones, tomorrow.
they are indeed torx (6 pointed star) and if not corroded/overtightened then you can get by with an allen key. The size is a T7 - a Rolson set of 3 bits (part no 30223) can be had for around £1.25
