good morning team, I have asked this before some time ago but no joy then, but I'm awake and bored and thinking of my 748. anyone know where I could get such a thing? Used to be able to and can for the later models but I've hunted on the web and nada.
The 748-9** blanks used to be available from the US but they seem to no longer be advertised. I have seen some where someone made a set using plastic disposable spoons (!) as a mould and then fibreglassing a set up. I checked out the shape of the spoons once out of interest and it does seem viable. Maybe a winter project for someone!
that's a 1098 one and the sort of thing I had in mind. Obviously the curve would have the follow the 748 fairing.
A quick Google showed these. One looks like it is for a 748-9**, although the master cylinder doesn't look quite right and the other is for an MV Augusta, I know some models did use FAR mirrors so these may fit. Plastic number plate screws should work for the budget option. Only available in yellow, black or white though...
