I'm at the edge of starting a project to refurbish a 748 SPS which is missing some bits, having had a low-speed slide. I'm awaiting confirmation from Ducati Customer Services that it is really an SPS before I get it, and know to check the lock stops, headstock, front forks and swing arm for damage. It lacks the whole fairing, save the air box and seat unit, front mudguard, plus a gear change mechanism, clutch cover and headlamp bucket together with headlights. Anyone got anything which would help? I know that it'll probably cost more to restore to full working order than it'll be worth, but it seems a worthwhile thing to do.
Got fairing parts to suit, but still short of a headlight complete unit - lights, bucket, mirror supports. I will have a yellow 748S Biposto seat unit, tank and airbox for sale, tho'
