748 SPS spark plug - wtf??? for real?

yep. these boys are about the cheapest on the planet Sparkplugs UK NGK Champion Denso Sparkplug, Glowplug and Lambda Sensors

 

I have an SPS and also a 748R and I use the stock Iridium plugs in mine. Racing plugs are expensive although you can get Champion QA55V's for under £4 Champion Racing Spark Plug QA55V Ebay has them at about £30.

I tried them in my R and they were fine but it's clear they are more for track use than the road as they make cold starting harder.

If you are using the bike for the road you shouldn't need a race plug.

 

I paid 8ish quid each from Ducati for what I assume are standard plugs.
