  1. in need of 1 stainless dry clutch spring to fit a 748!!

  2. Have you lost one?

Just run 4 spring assemblies! remove two opposite spring assemblies, leaving four in place? You still have enough clamping force with the remaining 4, mine has been fine for the last year, hi-comps, pillion & all? Lose a bit of weight too.

  3. Cleaning around the clutch with the engine running.......yes I know!!! There's already a thread I posted on here LOL.......anyway, as well as ending up with a snapped stem, I managed to snap the top off 1 of the springs too.
    You live and learn!!
Doesn't only having 4 springs look odd? I mean you've got 2 empty holes in ur clutch plate!!

  4. Not really? Not half as daft as cleaning a spinning clutch, lol!! The main benefit is a 33% lighter clutch pull... :upyeah:

I took my belts off as well as my mate said the engine will spin up faster if it didnt have to turn all the pulleys & stuff, going out in a mo to see if it makes a difference?

  5. My clutch cover is a bit more open than yours, still not convinced!!!
Why not take the engine out too, you'll go even faster
