748 tank pad

  1. Anyone got a nice carbon fibre tank pad? I have one but the sticky pads don't hold it on great so thinking of sticking it on with silicon. Alternatively get a sticker type, let me know what type you have and where u got it from please.

    Cheers

  2. Motografix for the 998. Though not CF, just a gel type. Ducati performance one for D16. 998 one has been on there for 10 years no probs.

  3. I have a ducati performance carbon one on my 748, looks good and does the job

  4. Never liked carbon fibre pads on a beautiful red tank, looks odd to me imho. I just use a red gel type tank pad with logo on it, not sure of make. Seems indestructable.

  5. DP CF one for me....been on just over a year with no issues :upyeah:

  6. Silicon fine as a bonding substance. Don't wast money on a new one.

  7. I have a CF pad, can't remember the make but I didn't even try using sticky pads, rather I used contact adhesive - the only thing is you need to get it perfect because once you make contact it ain't moving anymore.

Mine's been stuck on for many years without problem.
