It is a pretty little thing but apparently I can only devote my attention to one pretty little thing at a time and as bikes are probably shit in bed, the other one is going to be getting the most attention this summer leaving the 748 forlorn and unloved by me at least. One of you lucky chaps may of course have more time and space on your hands so if you do, drop me a pm and she’s yours (the bike obvs, not Yana, she’s mine)!
I have taken off most of the bling bits in an attempt to return it to factory spec. but remaining are various bits of c/f, termis, samco hoses, new and unused Michelins, yellow frame (very pretty in the metal), extended bell-mouths and a very high spec. engine.
Many of you will recall that I recently purchased this from Ducati Sheffield, it doesn’t have much history, the dials show 15k, I haven’t changed the ownership docs. It is a 1995 bike and in good overall condition. It can be delivered to Uk (UK registered), ideally Hampshire/Surrey/Sussex, I would ask £4000 but would negotiate to someone likely to use it.

Some engine shots and oh yeah, it has a quick shifter and gear indicator too which I have no idea how to remove otherwise I would have!

  3. Nice that joe, just wondering is it a mono? No rear subframe? Passenger capabilities

  4. It appears to have an ally rear subframe with no pillion peg attachment potential.

Btw @JoeC , the head doesn’t have “DOHC 4V” cast into it....does it have special heads?
    Only asking out of curiosity.

  5. Joe, there’s a fella looking for a 748 as a project at the moment. If it’s still for sale.

He & I conversed via WhatsApp last night & this morning about mine. He seems reasonable enough he just wanted something around the 4K mark that he can fettle himself rather than a mint one (as mine will be when Ive finished).

Just thought I’d give you a heads up:upyeah:
