hi mate i dont mean to be nosey but are you breaking a factory bike??

 

If it helps anyone, targetshop1 on the bay keep listing a 999Rs rear subframe for £300

isn't that what they did with the 749R race bikes.....instead of like a proper 999RS

 

Yes, at least the RS Akrapovic system for the 749R(S) has a carbon collar for mounting it on the "street" subframe. I have not seen other systems with mounting brackets for other than RS subframes though.

 

the 749R raced by riders was a similar set up std subframe with a bracket made up to accommodate a similar exhaust...

i bet FE has some pictures...

 

So here is his 749 /999 bike with std rear subframe with said exhaust and a made up bracket...

 

And how does it look with the fairings on? The rear specifically?

 

That is the Akrapovic exhaust which had the carbon collar originally.
