At 6'1" i want to play around with the seat position on my new 999s. I breifly recall moving the 749s seat position around and being torn between laying out more verses sitting up more.... Do any of you taller 749/999 owners have any consensus on which is more suited.....seat back or seat forward..? Track use will be minimal v road use, so comfort and less pressure on wrists etc is the goal. It likely is personal preference but you never know...:wink:
I'm not tall, but a lot of riders move the seat up to help the bike turn in. ProTwins use a local furniture upholsterer to put padding under the covering
Have a play and try out each position, There's only three and it won't take long to swap. Try each one on your fave stretch of road and stick with the one you like best. The adjustment is minimal so I'd be surprised if you can tell much difference anyway. Happy fettling!
see even I was tempted yesterday, but I felt sorry for the little fella... Oops! The seat pad does mean he needs the step to climb aboard as you may recall
