Hi, I've had a 2005 749 for a few months and its been great, however........a few weeks ago while I was riding home the needle on the rev counter went right round to 13k rpm and stayed there. I'd forgotten about it until today when I went to start it up again but when I turned the key there was no power and the needle is still at 13k. I've charged the battery assuming it had just gone flat but still get nothing. Anyone experienced this before or can offer any troubleshooting advice?
Had this on my 999. Pulled out the connector on the back of the speedo (you'll need an Allen key) and reconnected it. Been fine since.
