Hi Guys Does anyone know if the eobd codes can be read by the VAG code reading device thats available retail for not much money. I have a friend that could lend me one and i guess, as the codes are standard across the automotive industry, that it should. Problem is a 749 that immediately races its revs as soon as its started.The display does not show any error codes when i go through its display routine. Any thoughts gratefully taken on board.
A generic EOBD reader won't work. Do a search on the forum for "free diagnostic software". There are links on the post for the correct leads off eBay. This will then allow you to read the stored EOBD codes. http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f41/free-diagnostic-software-14914/ The same software will also allow you to reset the TPS which may help your problem.
