Having spent a fair time converting my 749s to a track bike, I discovered a huge amount of oil under my front wheel and realised I've had a major seal leak, luckily I have a spare set and fitted them last night...my question is now that they are off the bike and NEED work to at least one leg, who do you recommend to respring/reoil set up etc. I am an old, slow track rider (novice group, just fun with mates) so I know its best to take the whole bike to a suspension expert for them to set up, but my budget is limited and I just would like them set up for track riding and to my weight. Is there anywhere local to me ( Peterborough) who will do this whilst they are off?
I know Mark at BSD Peterborough does brilliant dyno and set up work on Ducati. He's done work for various BSB teams. Not sure if he does suspension as well. If not, I'm sure he will be able to give advice on a local suspension set up.
F T R overhauled my 999s Ohlins forks recently , (new seals , bushes & oil ) . I was impressed with their service ect , the forks were set up for me for road riding with them providing all the settings . When I rode it next I didn't notice the front suspension so It cant be far out !
