Swapped to a cored silencer and de-cat mid-pipe a few weeks ago (for sound not performance). After swapping a few maps and speaking to two ducati specialists who said it should be fine, decided to keep stock map. It ran fine, performance was exactly as was before but louder and even passed MOT Anyway, bike has been sat for a week. Took it out yesterday and just about got it to workplace. The thing was bucking, surging, popping, stalling, losing power, backfiring, especially from 2k-6k revs, all pointing to a lean condition. I have ducatidiag and had a play with the trim today and increased it quite a bit so it was running a bit rich (I know I need access to a CO tester to have it perfect). Same problems when I went for ride. Idle is strong, apart from one thing, it will idle and then after around 10 seconds, the tacho will dip to virtually zero. The engine will either cut off or continue to idle to where it was. This happens no matter what trim is set or what map is set. Am I looking at a fuel filter problem? Or could it be spark plugs? Just baffling as was totally fine before
Battery is fine, bike starts at click of the button. Voltages on dash are steady, no change there, so rectifier/regulator I think are ok. TPS is fine too.
