749 749 S Nero

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by Gabagool, Apr 18, 2021.

  1. Hello all

after riding my 999s for the first time since owning it a year... I am now in the market of potentially buying a 749S Nero with 14k miles and termi exhaust and a high output engine?
It’s just below £7,000 and I’m not too clued up with these.
Would this sound about right price wise?
    Thanks !

  2. Sounds a lot to me

  5. Think the 749 was available as the Nero in 2006.

  6. They made a 999S Nero, and a 749 dark from memory.

  7. The Nero will have been an attempt to clear stocks of the 749 before the 848 was launched in 2007.

  11. Great stuff cheers dude!

  12. To confirm there was not a 749S Nero

being black doesn’t make it a NERO

999S Nero was a separate model from those finished in black and they only made 50

  13. you said pretty much the same thing here https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/anyone-looking-for-a-749s-nero.63650/page-5 and the debate still rages

where can i find more re the limited production run and what would be the difference between a 999s 'nero' and a 999s in gloss black which is what they were called in the sales brochure

ive never seen the certificate that apparently confirms its a nero and one of fifty made

  14. Has anyone asked Ducati?

  15. And 1 of them is not in the UK anymore..
    Its near Amsterdam now :)

  18. The only special edition 749 I can think of were the Airwaves bikes. I think they were U.K. only. Were there others?

I am excluding the 749R because that was a homologation bike.

  19. holy thread resurrection
i was googling production numbers for my bike because i have just been chatting to ducati legend that is carl harrison and apparently there were only 25 units of my bike made
i need to check with someone at ducati before i attempt to sell mine. surely it will be worth 4002x more if its a limited number albeit not numbered run!

  20. So do tell us what are the different and possibly exclusive features which separate those 25 bikes from all others?
