749s fairing fixing

  1. Took the LHS fairing off and when putting back on found that one of the rubberised fixings had perished and came apart. This is the fixing that has a nut encapsulated within the rubber and attaches to the front underside of the fairing.

    Anyone know what this is called and where I can source a replacement - I don't have a Ducati dealer near me so was hoping to be able to get it sent to me if possible.

  2. Its called a RAWL NUT....its an M6x1 and you should be able to get them from a good engineering supply dealer. If you cant I have some, so can send you a few. They are ABOUT £1 each ish.....

  3. Thanks for the reply - does the raul thing include the rubber housing as I have the nut but it is the rubber housing bit that has fallen apart?

  5. Thanks for the link Mr C - unfortunately based in USA so shipping cost will be high in relation to the cost of the fixing.
