750ss Cafe Racer seat unit build

Hello all

I am building a 750ss cafe racer, which will be posted soon

In the meantime I thought you might be interested in this part project

I have started to build a fiberglass seat for the DuCafe Racer.

There are plenty of pictures here so you can see the first build from start to finish

So, the seat unit was built, which proved I can do it!

It also allowed me to look at what can be changed or improved

I decided I want the seat to sit on top of the frame rather than hanging down over the side of it, so I built another one

This time I covered the plug in silver tape as silver foil is a bit loose

I am now playing about with some different colour schemes

Here are some photos of the second build and the first go at the colours








After a lot of sanding and filling







I reckon the white stripe is too wide and the red and green stripes are too narrow





I will probably make another seat unit and paint it black with the red, white and green stripes

Then make a decision............
