Dropped my 848evo today, stalled pulling out of junction. Broken the r.h.s mirror, or to be more accurate the swivel ball that the mirror pivots on is cracked so now doesn't lock in position. Anyone have one they want to sell. Possibly from a pair where the l.h.s suffered the same as mine. Also, might need a brake lever as it's now bent, unsure at the moment if its possible to straighten it.
Moto science sell FAR mirrors for Ducati. I broke one on my 916 and instead did a search on google and ended up buying some FAR mirrors from Amazon which claimed they fit a 916 needless to say they don't Got a pair from moto science in the end Anyhow I w I'll check if they fit my 1098 and if they do You can have them cheap. Don't hold your breath and also I will take a photo so you can make your own mind up I also got a replacement brake lever off e bay identical to OEM around £10
I'm fine mate. I did however have a giggling fit whilst laying on my back in the middle of the A29 blocking the traffic from 3 roads whilst people looked on shocked as they must have thought I had just been hit by a car. Just like a stag beetle, I was thrashing around on my back unable to get up as it tickled my weird sense of humor. Luckily for me a couple on a Harley thing stopped immediately to help, and along with another couple of guys in a van, who also had to stop as I was blocking the road, righted my bike and maneuvered it to the side of the road. I was so disoriented I was wondering why I couldn't get it into neutral, and even sent Vince a text as he was just in front heading for bury informing him of my off and that there was an issue with a bent gear lever preventing me from selecting neutral. Weird flashback 40 odd years ago, thought I was on my Triton ffs! I was trying to get it into gear using the rear brake! Anyhow, bent the rear brake lever, not sure if its straight-enable, and buggered my rhs Moto Science mirror, just in the process of stripping it all down, need to unsolder the LED driver board thingy to enable me to get a socket in to examine the damage. We were discussing your unfortunate mishap with the forks whilst we were at Goodwood and came up with a cunning plan to resurrect them.
Intersection of B2138 and A29 ( couple of miles from bottom of Bury hill. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@50.9294375,-0.5659493,14z Love some soup mate, we have a plan that's so cunning they will be better than original!
wondered if you might be able to get a thin strap, similar dimensions to appropriate Jubilee clip, machined to fit O.D of fork, Possibly in the form of two C sections that would discreetly clamp around fork and support Mudguard.
