Hi Guys, I am a long time member who has had 10 Ducati’s over the years but have been without a bike for over a year through injury and illness so haven’t commented for a while but still browsed. I wasn’t going to bother getting a bike at the moment and I certainly cannot afford the new Ducati prices but after getting more shit news last week I thought ‘stuff it’ and am looking for something relatively cheap. I have been offered a great deal on a new Ktm 790 or Triumph Street Triple RS but my heart is with Ducati and I always liked the Streetfighter. I have looked around and the bargain ones with extras that were for sale early in the year have gone and it’s mainly standard bikes in dealers that are between £5/£6k for a cash deal. Does anyone know of any nice ones around not at dealer prices and without the swollen tank issue ! Pity the Supersport is out of reach as that would have been a nice bike after my Panigale. Cheers
Hello mate, welcome back as such. I've recently gone back to a 848 Evo having like you had the newer bikes and then had a break. I tested the ST RS and loved it but it wasn't only bike material for me, it just isn't something I want to open the garage for. The 790 is even worse in that it's built to a price and while bang and spec for buck it's outstanding value, it didn't do it for me. 848sf's are really on the way up money wise, I think if you want one you need to move fairly quick as even in winter they were around the money you mention. I do think you would love it though.
Hi Phil, nice to see your still around. You are worse than me ! If I got a new 790 or 765 I would have to get a pcp to fit my budget. Find a SF and I can pay for it at a push but again I have a budget. Saw that one above, looks lovely and I even messaged him but if I am paying outright for it I need it cheaper. If I sold my unused Omega Seamaster watch that would do it !
Go and see him in person, much better then negotiating by message, and you get to see the bike, worth paying more for a very nice example
Having an Omega Seamaster watch, unused in a drawer, is much better than riding & owning a Ducati Streetfighter - said no one ever! Hope you are feeling 100% soon and find a great bike. Just keep thinking "stuff it". I do and definitely works for me. LOL.
Ah but thats the old wave dial version, you need the latest model to sit in a box ! Took it in p/ex with receipt against my Rolex. Not working meant giving things up unfortunately hence why I am not looking at new Ducati’s.
I sold my Breitling last year to fund my honeymoon. One thing is for sure, if u try and sell a watch avoid eBay as u WILL get countless people attempting to fraud u! I went without a bike for 8 months, rode my mates 748r loads and fell in love with it but he sold it and I couldn’t quite raise the funds at the time or justify the running, so I bought a little RGV250SP as a winter rolling resto and then this summer I’ve bought another 848. Do it.. get a used streetfighter but this one isn’t the one I would go for

Oooooo thats cheap for a 1098 If you could get it for 5 and 1.5k for respray and termis you would have a nice sf.
