848 sump plug !!

  1. Any helpful advice would be appreciated....
    Its fair to say I'm in a right mess now and dont know wtf to do.
    During oil change, the Hex socket bit (yes it was the right one) snapped leaving the broken bit in the sump plug, The sump plug never moved
    Laser products eh , but in fairness it is an old set, that is now in the bin.

  2. I had a service job last week that had had the plug rounded out. I used an Irwin 14mm stud extractor on it. Tap it on and it tightens as you undo it. Simple as... really useful things to have in the tool box and worth their weight in gold for the number of times they've got me out of trouble.
     
  3. Take it this a hardened bit you used, if so hard to drill! If it were here in my work shop id prob try and tack a bolt onto it to get the bit out or failing that a large nut welded round it to extract the sump plug..
