Hi. I recently posted about buying a 1990 - 851 (mark 1 I'm told) Now the wing mirrors are a bit ropey and are just black on a stalk, no gator. Was a gator standard on these and were they always black. I've seen red ones for sale with the gator and like them, but were they form later models and would they even fit? Thanks
Mine is the earlier model without the upside down forks. I've since found out they were black and round! I like the later red ones though
My '89 851 has the black round mirrors [mickey mouse ears] but they are not mounted at the mo'. I have some red mirrors I can offer up tomorrow to see if they would fit. I've been told that the early round mirrors are hard to find,
If you want to see get the round ones,they actually work,stay in place and don't fold in like my 900ss did
