Hello, Can anyone assist with which pistons are best suitable for a 748SPS when converting to the 853cc. If anyone can help with make, part number and supplier details then this would be a great help. Also, if anyone has any new or used pistons available then I'm interested. I understand I will need 916 barrels or bore out my originals but do I need a 916 base and head gasket or 748 gaskets? Thanks in advance. Regards Lee
Sorry can't comment on which pistons to go for but I would seriously recommend getting the crank balanced to suit. You won't really know what gaskets to use until you've done a dry assembly to measure the squish. Then you might be able get the squish correct with careful gasket selection. However when I did mine nearly 1mm needed to machined of each cylinder to get it right.
Pistal pistons are what you want. Pistal Racing: Catalogo . For the SPS you will use S pistons. I have sent you a PM................................:wink:
