Hi Guys n Gals, I am looking at a 907ie on the bay of E, and thinking of trading in my CBR 1000F, worth £1500 to me I guess _ any comments. I would use the 907 as a long distance tool - I would think that it would cope ?? - without the temptation to wind up to 150 mph !!
Seem's a bit steep, the paso range are an acquired taste amongst Ducati types, it would have to be a good example i think.
try asking Streetfigher (on here) he has had a few 907's. sill rides one. dont fetch good money, its bit pricey £2450.00 same engine as the ST2. Parts are hard to find. Very comfy, okay for long distance work.
Good bikes, highly underated, get a bit of stick about styling from the sports ducati crowd. Mines in regular use and goes abroad 2 up with no issues. A bit heavy for town riding. Mines on 43,000 miles no problems. My first one did 75,000 before I killed it in France racing with Gixer and R1 for an hour on motorway about 4 yr ago. Cheaper to replace than repair then. Now they are fetching £1700- £2000+ depending on condition and miles. Motor, wheels and brake parts are easy as they share SS components, Bodywork is rare but comes up on ebay at reasonable prices apart from mirror pods. I put USD showas and 2:1 on mine. Just seen the one you're looking at, too many £ for condition and miles. For that money you want standard paint and less miles. If that went for auction it'd struggle to make £2k
Comfortable tho, its been upgraded to a proper Corbin now. I'll put a pic here for your opinion..
He's got my phone number, and knows my top limit for a swap - so we'll see what happen. I am in no real hurry to get rid of the Supersonic Sofa - these big old Hondas are awesome !!
Yes the footrest/seat are a bit close. I'm 6' 1" and manage ok. Good for shorter riders to reach ground.
that is a lovely bike and I like the gold fixings myself. I'm sure the seat is more comfortable but visually reminding me of a camel now
