This is on Ebay from Pro Twins for £750 for the rear and appears injection cast: This is on Ebay with large webbing: These are on my 998 and have very small ribs... And these are on my 996R and appear to be sand cast looking at the finish inside the spokes - no ribs... Can anyone decipher the above
The gold ones on your 996R look like 916 magnesium racing wheels. I had this type on my 916. I also had ones like the other gold ones with ribs in the back of the spokes. They are also magnesium but I believe they are the road version.
Cheers Ricky, that confirms what Bootsie said about them, do you know what the Pro Twins one is? and my 998 wheels
Just stripping the sheathing (nice word, not sure where I have heard it before ) off the harness as we speak to find the horn wires so I don't have to bodge one on separate to the battery then if successful I will send my mode switch back to Bike Sport Developments to reinstate the connectors for the horn button in their multi plug so I can run one of their yummy CNC buttons for the horn (mmm, horn, heard tha.... ) Hope that helps
Not sure if i'm on time with this information but the gold wheel's on that lovely carpet i've would have said a very, very early version, twenty plus year's ago maybe
maybe speak to protwin's as they were around back in the day and talk about the ribb's!?,,also yesterday picked up a front desmosedici wheel f@@kng light,as the bike was on their work bench (ProTwin's)so maybe somebody on here own's it
