Just finishing up my 916 and I just want to confirm the correct earth points are being used. I ask because my bike wasn’t the best on the electrical side when I collected, it’s Running but slight dip of power with the lights on and a pull of a thr brake lever like it has a poor earth. thank you in advance. Sorry for the strange request.
The only 3 earth points I came across are, 1)off side crankcase just above swing arm, 2) ecu, 3)rectifier alloy plate and obviously the loom cluster at the battery. Check all connections on the multi connector plugs are clean and fully engaged. It’s not unusual to push a pin back as you push the connector home. Especially round the headlamp!! Check visual condition of yellow wires from generator over the engine to the rectifier and any connectors on this route. I’m sure you know they are susceptible to corrosion and poor mechanical connection developing into failure.
