916 Mono Seat Bracket

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Mattt, Feb 7, 2017.

  1. Just putting the rear bracket and light back together, does the gold anodised dog leg bracket fix to the seat by all 4 bolts(the brass insert ones that are fitted into the seat itself) or just the rear 2 with the spacer blocks
Mines a bit twisted and doesnt line up to all 4 ,it came in bits so not sure
    Thanks

  2. Hiya
Thanks, canf see but is it only fixed on the lower bolts ? Mine has 2 additional bolt holes under the rubber mounted pins but the bracket doesnt line up with those 2
    Thanks

  3. I've had to go out to look at it as I've never removed the bracket but there are 4 fixing bolts; the 2 posts that the light unit pushes onto are actually threaded into the seat base through the bracket plus the 2 small bolts that hold the latch pin in place also bolt through the bracket and into the seat base.

I wonder if there maybe different variants based on age/model?

  4. thanks for getting back to me
Ive ordered another bracket from Moto Rapido ,hopefully the one I had loose with the rest of the parts is the wrong one

  5. Mono and bip are different bracket

  6. I had both, the mono one is dog leg shaped , the biposto is a flat type. The guy at moto said possible variations on different years or I may have a 996 one
    I will know next week
